6 Years!

For our 6 year anniversary, we had an entire day to ourselves!  My Mom watched our kids and we had a great time.  We went skiing (well, Jon was snowboarding and I was skiing for my first time).  I'll be honest, the first run down the mountain was pretty hard, but after that it got better and better.  (And the sun was really bright when we took this picture).

The mountains were beautiful.  I really want to go again - and I can see why so many people love the sport.  Its an excuse to be out in the sunshine in the winter - sign me up.

I kind of can't believe that we've only been married for 6 years, but I also can't believe that we have been married for 6 whole years.  Time is such a strange paradox.  Either way, I'm so grateful for Jon and that he truly is my best friend.  There is no one in the world that knows me as well as he does and its so nice to be known and understood.
Thanks Jon, I love you.

Here's a little walk down memory lane to celebrate:
Before we started dating (Jon happened to be at the same outdoor movie and hung out with me, my siblings and my roommates...he drew princess pictures with Emma).

A Singles Ward Activity:

While we were dating.

Jon asked me to cut his hair while we were dating - and I tried but chickened out right before actually cutting it.  I was so afraid that I'd cut it wrong and it'd ruin our relationship.  :)

What will be in year 6?  I keep thinking of the lyrics, "Sunrise, sunset...one season following another.  Each filled with happiness and tears."

Respite from Winter Weather

We've had weather warm enough to go outside the last few days.  There was still snow on the ground, but it was warm and the kids were so anxious to get out there.  So grateful for some time in the sun.

Also, one of my dear friends from college came to visit yesterday.  We were roommates together and had a really fun time while we lived together.  So great to get to see each other and our kids.

And still the traditional: waving good bye to Daddy in the morning:

Daily Videos (somewhat of a David show)

David's at a very video-able age, saying cute and new things all the time.  Here's a slew of videos of it:

We go to the McDonalds play place on a regular basis so the kids can have somewhere to run.  On this visit, they didn't wait till we were in the play place to start:

Home Depot Craft

I know Home Depot does this to get kids to feel like Home Depot is "their store" but I still love going.  This is the first time we went as an entire family (instead of Jon just taking the girls) and I loved being there.

A Day in the Life of this Mom...

Ok, so I took these pictures over the last month - but I wanted to collect pictures of the very normal, day in and day out stuff that seems in such abundance right now, and is on a time bomb.  These kids are growing up.  Although, David still asks me to kiss every bump that he gets, and I love it (at least one of them is still little).

Suzy drew me and her dancing, and worked so hard to color the Hello Kitty page for me.
